Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Charge Qube. Can't find your answer? Get in touch and our team will help.

Do I need a grid connection or a grid upgrade?

Charge Qube runs from your existing standard supply (a continuous 32A or 63A, 3-phase connection), so you get ultra-rapid charging without waiting months or paying for a costly grid upgrade. A grid connection is recommended for the best results.

The CQ1000 can additionally run off-grid using optional hybrid generator and solar options.

How quickly can it be installed?

Units arrive ready to operate with minimal site preparation. Our engineers typically commission and configure the system in under two hours, so you can be charging the same day.

What power supply do I need?
  • The CQ160 runs on a 32A, 3-phase supply.
  • The CQ450 runs on either a 32A or 63A, 3-phase supply.
  • The CQ1000 runs on a 63A, 3-phase supply.

If you are not sure what you have on site, our team can help confirm the right fit.

How many vehicles can it charge?

The CQ450 can charge up to 10 vehicles, with up to 240kW ultra-rapid DC charging plus AC outlets for overnight top-ups. The right configuration depends on your fleet and daily demand, so tell us your needs and we will advise.

Which model is right for me?
  • CQ160 — Euro-pallet, forklift-movable, up to 160kWh. Best for small commercial sites, workshops and temporary sites.
  • CQ450 — 10ft ISO container, up to 450kWh, full EMS, up to 10 vehicles. Best for fleet depots and logistics hubs.
  • CQ1000 — 20ft hybrid container, up to 1,000kWh, optional generator and solar, can run off-grid. Best for large-scale, remote and off-grid sites.

Still unsure? Tell us about your site and we will recommend the best fit.

Can it run off-grid?

The CQ1000 can run fully off-grid using optional generator and/or solar PV integration, with automatic switching between power sources. The CQ160 and CQ450 are designed to run from an existing grid supply.

Can I rent, or do I have to buy?

Both. Flexible rental and purchase options are available, including a trial option so you can gauge performance, capacity needs and servicing before committing. Our sales team will talk you through the options.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the configuration and your requirements, so it is handled directly by our team. Share a few details and they will come back with tailored advice and a quote.
